Environmental organizations united for a day of action on Grand Bahama. Led by Blue Action Lab and partners Coral Vita and Waterkeepers Bahamas, the community gathered at Conservation Cove on May 4 for an interactive event. Nearly 600 residents participated, engaging in educational activities and witnessing partnerships with prominent organizations like the Bahamas National Trust and the Ministry of Tourism. Conservation Cove boasts initiatives like Coral Vita’s reef restoration farm and the Grand Bahama Queen Conch Mariculture Centre. Rotary clubs provided refreshments, while local activists collaborated on a mural, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices for the island's future. Founder Rupert Hayward emphasized the necessity of resilient communities for a sustainable Bahamas.
