Team Bahamas proudly represented our nation during the Opening Ceremony. Olympian Steven Gardiner, reigning 400-meter gold medalist, and two-time Olympian Devynne Charlton carried the Bahamian flag with enthusiasm and excitement, taking 242 to the world.

Held along the Seine River, the ceremony broke tradition by stepping out of the stadium and into the heart of Paris. Our 20-member team, featuring athletes from aquatics and athletics, stood united and vibrant.

Let's cheer on Team Bahamas as they strive to bring home the gold!

How to Hack Your Life

1.💻 Laptop Overheating?
Prop it up with a small book to allow better airflow. This helps prevent overheating and extends the life of your device.

2.🧴 Struggling with a Stuck Zipper?
Rub a bar of soap or a wax candle along the zipper teeth. This will lubricate the zipper and help it slide smoothly.

3.🥔 Keep Apples from Browning?
Store them with a potato. The gases released by the potato prevent the apples from turning brown.

The Bahamas Goombay Summer Festival

As July wraps up, the Bahamas' Goombay Summer Festival has come to an end. In Grand Bahama, we celebrated the festival every Thursday in the month of July. This annual celebration offered a vibrant showcase of Bahamian culture through its delightful cuisine and lively traditions. Attendees indulged in local favorites like conch fritters, fried fish, and guava duff, while the air resonated with the rhythmic beats of our sweet Bahamian music. The festival also featured Junkanoo dancers in colorful costumes, storytelling, and crafts, creating a rich cultural experience.
