They say you are what you eat, but your favorite Bahamian dish might just reveal your love style too. From spicy to sweet, here’s a fun take on what your go-to plate says about your approach to romance.

Peas n’ Rice: The Loyal Lover
If you swear by peas n’ rice at every meal, you’re steady, reliable, and built for long-term love. Like this staple dish that holds every plate together, you keep your relationships solid, even when life gets messy. You’re all about consistency, with a little bit of spice when the mood is right.

Conch Fritters: The Showstopper
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside — just like your love life. You’re bold, vibrant, and unforgettable. People are drawn to your confidence and charm. In relationships, you crave excitement and never settle for bland love.

Cracked Conch: The Adventurous Spirit
If cracked conch is your jam, you're all about thrill and spontaneity. You thrive on keeping your love life exciting, whether it’s surprising your partner with a beach picnic or planning a last-minute island getaway.

Stew Fish: The Deep Thinker
Tender and full of depth, stew fish lovers value emotional connection. You're thoughtful and soulful, the kind to send “just because” texts and truly invest in your partner's happiness.

Sky Juice/Gully Wash: The Sweetheart with a Twist
A little sweet, a little wild — if sky juice/Gully Wash is your favorite, you're the life of the party but know how to get real when it counts. Your love style is fun-loving, carefree, but always genuine.

Johnny Cake: The Old Soul
Simple, comforting, and reliable. If you love a warm slice of Johnny cake, you appreciate the little things in life. You’re all about building a love that’s rooted in tradition and meaningful moments.

A Hidden Gem for Coffee & Sushi Lovers

Centrally located along Queen’s Highway, Seaport Secrets is an unexpected fusion of coffee and sushi—two worlds you wouldn’t typically pair together. I know what you’re thinking because I thought the same: Coffee and sushi? But as someone who loves both, I had to check it out. What’s surprising is how many people don’t even know this spot exists, let alone that it has reopened after a brief hiatus.

One of my favorite features? The drive-thru. Perfect for those on the go, it makes grabbing your morning caffeine fix a breeze. If you prefer to dine in, the spacious seating area offers a comfortable setting to enjoy your meal. On one side, you’ll find a cozy coffee bar serving an assortment of freshly brewed coffee and pastries, while on the other, a sushi bar crafting delicious, made-to-order rolls.

The sushi menu is reasonably priced and arrives quickly, making it a great option for a casual lunch. Plus, if sushi or coffee isn’t your thing, they also offer daily lunch specials with other tasty options.

Whether you need a quick cup of coffee to power through your morning or a laid-back lunch with friends, Seaport Secrets is worth a visit. Open Monday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM—stop by and experience this hidden gem for yourself!

Microsoft Tells Windows Users - Do Not Use Google Chrome

Microsoft recently launched a controversial campaign urging Windows users to reconsider Google Chrome. The campaign disguises itself as a "How to uninstall Edge" page but instead praises Microsoft’s browser, claiming it’s safer and more efficient than Chrome. The page lists Edge’s AI-enhanced security features and advanced controls, positioning it as the "smarter browser." Critics argue that this tactic is a strategic move to lure Chrome users away by highlighting Edge’s advantages, while ignoring Google Chrome’s solid reputation for security. Although Microsoft’s approach is bold, it’s clear this message is aimed squarely at pushing Chrome users toward Edge.

SpaceX Falcon 9 to Land in Bahamian Waters February 17th

The Bahamas will soon make history by hosting the first Falcon 9 rocket booster landing in Bahamian waters. Set for February 17, this marks a monumental moment for the country, which has entered into an exciting partnership with SpaceX, positioning The Bahamas as a hub for space tourism.

The event, which will take place off the coast of the Exumas, will see the Falcon 9 rocket booster land on a drone ship, marking The Bahamas as the first international destination to host such a landing. This historic milestone opens the door to 20 more scheduled landings in Bahamian waters on autonomous drone ships, further establishing the country’s key role in the emerging space tourism industry.

This collaboration with SpaceX, which was finalized nearly a year ago, also promises a world-class space exhibit showcasing SpaceX hardware and a spacesuit, becoming the only exhibit of its kind outside the United States. The exhibition is expected to attract both local residents and international tourists, boosting The Bahamas’ visibility on the global stage.

Local officials, including representatives from the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, the Bahamas Air Navigation Services Authority, and the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection, are working closely with SpaceX to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. The preparations highlight the country's commitment to both technological advancement and economic growth, as it opens new doors for innovation and tourism.

With the launch just days away, The Bahamas is making its mark as a rising star in space tourism, paving the way for future collaborations and creating unique opportunities for both locals and visitors alike.
