What Da Wybe Is? In this week’s catalog the we break down the best and worst fashion picks from the Video Music Awards 2025 Red carpet.

The VMAs never disappoint when it comes to fashion, sometimes for all the right reasons, and sometimes… well, let’s just say the internet never forgets. This year, the Wybe is giving you our very own red carpet breakdown. Our ambassadors hit the rewind button to give you their best and worst picks.

Ty B

Best Dressed With her debut album Vie coming out end of September, Doja Cat is my best dressed. Her album is said to be more retro 70s inspired, which we saw from her lead single, and she does that well with this look from hair, the shape of the dress to the shoes. She making me excited for the new Era. Worst Dressed Conan Gray hasn’t had a good moment since Taylor Swift stopped being his “music mother” and it’s clear she isn’t helping him get dressed any more. I mean Pirates of The Caribbean 3?

Keva “Tasty with KC”

Best Dressed Sabrina Carpenter, Red was the undeniable standout at this year’s VMAs, stealing the spotlight from the moment the stars hit the carpet . Worst Dressed Sexy RedSome pulled it off flawlessly, turning heads while others… well, let’s just say they missed the mark.

Tristan Gibson

For FKA Twigs (Best Dressed)Not gonna lie, FKA Twig’s fit was the absolute best for me. I may not be the biggest fan, but those aesthics man… I’m loving the stylish mix of rave and vampy industial she has going on here. For Rebecca Black (Worst Dressed) With Rebecca, I’m not feeling it which hurts to say because I’ve been loving her rebrand lately so seeing a miss from her pains me. Her SALVATION’s been and still will be bumping in my ears though.

J.Marie

Best Dressed Summer Walker understood the assignment. Channeling Pam Anderson’s iconic 1999 look, she wowed in a sleek white corset, sparkling seafoam sequins, and a larger-than-life feathered hat. Her delicately draped necklace brought just the right touch of elegance, while her natural beauty took center stage, serving a head-turning look. Worst Dressed Latto She is hot right now with her new viral hit with Ice spice, so I expected a more show stopping look. She looked stunning (her face card never declines!), but the outfit felt a bit too safe

Rouen Robinson

Best Dressed goes to this K-pop Demon Hunter star Audrey, flawlessly brought to life with an Asian-inspired ensemble. Worst Dressed Sombr Unfortunately it fell a bit flat, kinda boring and could’ve been way more exciting or unique.

In today’s economy, every dollar matters, especially in The Bahamas where the cost of living continues to rise. Being intentional with how you spend and save can make a big difference. One of the best habits you can build is comparison shopping. Whether you are buying groceries, clothing, or electronics, take the time to check weekly store specials, local flyers, or online deals. A few minutes of research can save you a lot in the long run.

Budgeting is another key step toward financial stability. It does not have to be complicated. Simply tracking your spending for a few weeks can help you understand where your money is going and where you can cut back. Many Bahamians also benefit from joining savings clubs or putting a small amount aside each week. Even ten dollars saved consistently adds up over time.

Local businesses often offer unadvertised discounts or loyalty programs, so it is always worth asking. When making larger purchases, do not be afraid to negotiate or ask if a better price is available. Supporting local brands can also be more affordable than going straight for the most expensive or popular names.

Living within your means does not mean you have to struggle. It means planning ahead, taking advantage of deals, and making intentional choices. Every dollar you save is a step closer to your financial goals. With discipline and awareness, you can make your money work for you right here at home.

Before you step into your day take a moment to pause, breathe, reflect and give thanks. Sounds cliché but sometimes the simplest things are the most powerful.

Life gets loud, from work, school, messages, expectations, overthinking, group chats…the list goes on. I'm even exhausted typing that. One of the fastest ways to quiet the noise? Shockingly simple: take 5 minutes to step outside barefoot. Literally touch grass, or sand, if you love the beach like I do.

Walking barefoot isn’t just for kids and eccentric uncles (no shade). It’s called grounding or earthing, and yes, it has real benefits. Research shows that when your bare feet connect with natural surfaces like grass, sand, or soil, your body absorbs the Earth’s electrons. That might sound a little “woo woo”, but it's backed by science: grounding reduces stress levels, supports sleep, calms our nervous system, eases racing thoughts and even helps with inflammation.

In The Bahamas, we’re surrounded by healing landscapes, beaches and grass that practically invite you to slow down. Our beaches? breathtaking. And best of all? They’re free 99. Not everyone has that, so we’re inherently blessed.

Walking barefoot is one of my favorite ways to recharge. It’s peaceful, available 24/7 and doesn't require an app. Let your feet connect, let your breath soften, inhale, exhale and give your body permission to relax and let go.

As Tarrus Riley said “the simple things are your blessings.” This week, my challenge to you is to step into your grounding (barefoot) era, it's free therapy.
